Inscrybe
Your audio. Your creation.

Privacy Policy

Effective and updated October 23, 2026

1. About this policy

Inscrybe is an audio player and creation studio provided by Believe PR, owned by Armando Jimenez, in Puerto Rico (“we,” “us”). This policy explains information handled by the application, its Apple platform extensions, and these policy pages. Contact us at inscrybe@armandojimenez.dev.

Your library is yours. Audio, recordings, scripts, projects, covers and listening history are stored on your device. If you enable iCloud Sync, selected content and preferences also go to your private iCloud storage. We do not operate a public library of users’ creations or an Inscrybe account system.

Some information does leave the device, as described below: when Share Crash Reports is on, Sentry receives a report if the app crashes or freezes; RevenueCat, our subscription provider, receives your App Store purchase records so the app knows whether you have Inscrybe Deep; Unsplash receives photo requests; download providers receive file requests; and recipients receive files you choose to share. Nothing else about how you use Inscrybe is collected.

2. Content and device permissions

Inscrybe processes imported audio, videos and archives; microphone recordings; affirmation text; project settings; artwork; playlists; favorites; listening statistics; and preferences to provide playback, mixing, speech rendering and exports. These operations run on the device. We do not send your scripts or recordings to an AI generation service.

  • Microphone: records only when you start a recording.
  • Files and photos: the system picker supplies items you choose. Permission to add to Photos is requested when saving a video there.
  • Face ID, Touch ID and device authentication: Apple checks authentication. Inscrybe does not receive your biometric template. App Lock credentials and recovery information are protected using the device’s Keychain.
  • Notifications: scheduled reminders and listening prompts use Apple’s notification system.
  • Apple integrations: widgets, Siri, Shortcuts, CarPlay, AirPlay and a paired Apple Watch can display track names, artwork and playback information. Their visibility also depends on your device settings.

You can manage permissions in iOS Settings. Denying a permission can prevent its associated feature. Discreet Mode and Hidden reduce visibility within supported surfaces; they do not encrypt exported files or make their contents anonymous.

3. iCloud and sharing

iCloud Sync is optional. When enabled, Apple’s CloudKit, iCloud Drive and key-value storage synchronize library records, listening records, projects, scripts, media, artwork and supported preferences through your Apple Account. Audio may download on demand. We do not receive your Apple Account password or use a developer-controlled content server for this synchronization. Apple’s service terms, account settings and storage limits apply.

Sharing, exporting to Files or Photos, and sending files to another application places copies outside Inscrybe. A project or export can include personal text, a voice, artwork or metadata. Check it before sharing. A neutral filename or decoy cover does not remove information inside the audio or video. Recipients and destination services control their copies.

4. No analytics; crash reports

Inscrybe has no analytics. It does not record or send what you play, create, search or tap, how long you listen, or which features you use. The only figures we see are crash reports, below, and purchase totals, in section 5.

Share Crash Reports is on by default. If Inscrybe crashes or freezes, it sends a report to Sentry, our crash-reporting provider, the next time it opens: where in the app’s code the problem happened (stack traces and thread information), the app’s version and build, the device model, the iOS version and memory at the time, and whether the app was open or in the background. Reports do not include your name, the names of your tracks or playlists, your scripts, notes, searches or recordings, screenshots, or what was on your screen. Inscrybe attaches no user or device identifier, removes quoted text, file paths and web addresses from error messages before sending, and our Sentry project is set not to store IP addresses or the approximate location derived from them.

Turn it off in Settings → Privacy → Share Crash Reports. While it is off, Inscrybe records no crashes and deletes reports waiting on the device; turning it off does not erase reports Sentry already received.

We use crash reports only to find and fix problems. We do not show third-party advertising or sell personal information, and we do not share personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising.

5. Purchases, photo search, downloads and other services

Inscrybe Deep. Subscriptions are bought through Apple’s App Store, which handles payment; Inscrybe never receives your name, Apple Account or payment-card details. The app checks what you have bought through RevenueCat, our subscription provider. When the app opens and checks your access, and when you buy or restore a purchase, RevenueCat receives: a random ID the app creates for this installation; the App Store’s records of your purchases (which plan, when it started, renews or ends, any free trial, the price and currency, and the storefront country); the app’s version; the device model and iOS version; your preferred languages; Apple’s vendor identifier for this developer’s apps on your device (not the advertising identifier); and your IP address, which every connection carries. The app sends RevenueCat no name, email or advertising identifier, and nothing about what you play, create or search.

We use this to confirm your access and restore purchases, to prevent fraud, and to see purchase totals and charts in RevenueCat’s dashboard, such as how many trials become subscriptions. It is not linked to your identity, and it is not used for advertising or tracking.

When you browse or search for Unsplash photos, Unsplash receives requests, your search text when entered, your IP address and normal network information. Selecting an image can trigger the download attribution request required by Unsplash. Requests for photos can also occur when loading a selected remote image. Images and attribution are used for covers or Visuals. Recent searches may be kept locally on your device.

When you import from a URL, Inscrybe contacts the file host, which sees the requested address, IP address and normal connection information. The host’s privacy practices apply. Do not put secrets in a download URL unless you trust that host.

Apple provides system speech voices, authentication, device integrations, cloud services and payment.

Provider information: Sentry privacy, RevenueCat privacy, Apple privacy, and Unsplash privacy.

6. Support and legal requests

If you email inscrybe@armandojimenez.dev, we receive your address, message and any attachments you send. We use them to answer you, troubleshoot the issue and handle privacy or legal requests. Please send only what is necessary; do not attach private recordings or complete libraries unless needed. We may retain relevant correspondence while the request is active and afterward when reasonably needed for follow-up, security, legal obligations or disputes.

We may disclose information we hold when legally required, to address fraud or security incidents, or to protect lawful rights. A business transfer would remain subject to applicable privacy obligations and notice requirements. We cannot disclose a local file we do not possess.

7. Storage, deletion and security

You control local library and project content through the app’s delete and storage controls. Items in Recently Deleted and local recovery backups may remain until cleared or expired. Cached files can be removed with Clear Cache. Delete All resets local app data and preferences, including restoring the default crash-report choice; it does not by itself delete reports already received by Sentry, purchase records RevenueCat holds, copies exported elsewhere, or every copy in iCloud or device backups.

Use Settings → iCloud Sync and its cloud-deletion option to manage Inscrybe’s synchronized data, and Apple’s storage/backup settings to manage Apple-held copies. Merely turning off sync, removing a download, uninstalling, or deleting a local copy may leave cloud or recipient copies intact. Review each deletion confirmation before proceeding.

Crash reports follow Sentry’s retention settings and deletion mechanisms. Contact us about information we control; because reports carry no identifier, finding one may require details such as when the crash happened and the app version. We do not promise that uninstalling erases provider-held records.

Purchase records follow RevenueCat’s and Apple’s retention. The app’s random purchase ID stays on the device through Delete All, so your purchases still restore; deleting the app removes it. Because the record carries no name, include the order ID from Apple’s purchase receipt when you ask us about one.

We use Apple’s sandbox, Keychain and platform security and secure connections for supported network services. iCloud security depends on your Apple settings. No system is perfectly secure or immune to loss. Keep your own backups; we cannot recover recordings or credentials that are no longer available to you.

8. Your choices and privacy rights

Depending on where you live and which laws apply, you may request access, correction, deletion, portability or restriction of your personal information; object to processing; withdraw consent; and complain to your data-protection authority. California residents may have rights to know, delete, correct, limit certain uses of sensitive information and opt out of sale or sharing, without unlawful discrimination. We do not sell personal information or share it for cross-context behavioral advertising.

Where data-protection law requires a legal basis, we process information to provide features you request, pursue proportionate interests in operating and securing the app and responding to support, comply with legal obligations, or rely on consent where required. A setting or use of the app does not waive a consent requirement imposed by law. You can change permissions and crash-report sharing at any time.

Send requests to inscrybe@armandojimenez.dev. We may ask for information reasonably needed to verify and locate the relevant records, and respond within applicable legal deadlines. Local-only content remains under your control; Apple and other providers may need to handle requests concerning records they independently control.

9. General audience and children

Inscrybe is a general-audience tool and is not specifically directed at children under 13. An App Store content rating is not a statement that every imported file is suitable for a child or that parental-consent rules do not apply. Parents and guardians should supervise minors’ content, listening levels and privacy settings. Purchases go through Apple, whose Family Sharing and Ask to Buy let parents approve them.

We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13 in circumstances requiring parental consent without that consent. If you believe a child has supplied such information, contact inscrybe@armandojimenez.dev so we can investigate and take the steps required by law, including deletion where appropriate. Local laws may protect older minors as well.

10. These pages and international processing

These pages are hosted on GitHub Pages. GitHub receives normal web request information such as IP addresses; see GitHub’s privacy statement. The pages store a light/dark preference in your browser’s local storage. We do not add advertising trackers or analytics to these policy pages. Links you open have their own privacy practices.

We operate in Puerto Rico. Apple, Sentry, RevenueCat, GitHub, Unsplash and our email providers may process information in the United States and other countries. Their applicable contractual safeguards and privacy terms govern those transfers. Contact us for information about transfers for which we are responsible.

11. Updates and contact

We will update this policy when features, providers or data practices change. The date above identifies this version. We will provide additional notice or request consent for material changes when required by law.
