Terms of Use

1. Acceptance and Eligibility

These Terms of Use (“Terms”) are a binding agreement between you and Believe PR, owned by Armando Jimenez (“Holy,” “we,” “us,” or “our”), governing Holy - Daily Bible Verses and its related widget, content, and services (the “App”). By downloading, accessing, purchasing through, or using the App, you agree to these Terms and our Privacy Policy.

If you do not agree, do not use the App. You must be at least 13 years old to use Holy on your own. If the law where you live requires a higher age to consent to these Terms or data processing, a parent or legal guardian must review and agree for you. The person accepting for a minor is responsible for supervising that use.

2. What Holy Provides

Holy offers Bible verses, app-authored affirmations and reflections, prayer and gratitude tools, custom quotes and prayers, reminders, widgets, themes and backgrounds, sharing tools, and optional paid features. Features, available translations, content, and device support may change over time.

Holy can work without an account. Most personal content is stored on your device. You are responsible for maintaining appropriate device, system, and exported backups and for reviewing the Privacy Policy before using optional permissions or third-party sharing.

3. Limited License and App-Store Terms

Subject to these Terms and the applicable app-store rules, we grant you a limited, personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, non-sublicensable, revocable license to install and use the App on devices you own or control for lawful, non-commercial use.

Apple App Store or Google Play terms also apply to your download and purchases. The store, not Holy, processes payment, and may control installation, family sharing, refunds, cancellation, and restoration. If these Terms conflict with mandatory store terms, the mandatory store terms control to that extent. Apple and its subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of these Terms for an iOS download and may enforce the applicable license provisions.

The license does not transfer ownership. You may not copy, redistribute, sell, rent, lease, sublicense, reverse engineer, bypass access controls, or create derivative works from the App except where applicable law expressly permits that activity despite this restriction.

4. Your Content and Backups

You retain ownership of original prayers, quotes, reflections, photos, and other content you create or lawfully add (“User Content”). You represent that you have the necessary rights to use that content and that it does not violate law or another person’s privacy, publicity, intellectual-property, or other rights.

Because Holy normally stores User Content locally, you do not grant us a broad hosting license merely by creating it. You authorize the App to copy, resize, render, display, export, back up, or send User Content on your device as needed to perform actions you request. If you direct content to a file provider, cloud backup, social network, messaging app, gallery, email provider, or support, you authorize the transfer to that destination and its terms apply.

5. Purchases, Subscriptions, and Tips

Holy may offer auto-renewable subscriptions, non-renewing one-time or lifetime feature unlocks, and optional consumable support purchases or tips. The exact product, billing period, price, currency, introductory offer or trial if any, and included features are displayed in the App’s purchase screen and the store confirmation before you buy. Those current disclosures control; this page does not promise a particular price, plan, or trial.

Auto-renewable subscriptions

Payment is charged to your Apple or Google account when the purchase is confirmed. A subscription renews automatically for the period shown at purchase unless you cancel through your store account before the store’s renewal cutoff. Deleting Holy does not cancel a subscription. Manage or cancel in Apple App Store or Google Play subscription settings. Access continues through the paid period unless the store states otherwise.

Trials and introductory offers

If a trial or introductory offer is displayed, its eligibility, duration, conversion price, and renewal terms shown at checkout apply. Unless you cancel within the deadline shown by the store, a trial may convert to a paid, auto-renewing subscription. Store eligibility decisions are final.

One-time purchases, tips, restores, and refunds

A one-time or lifetime unlock is a license for the supported lifetime of that product and App, not a promise that the App, every platform, or every feature will exist forever. Tips or consumable support purchases do not renew and do not create ownership or special rights beyond what the purchase screen states. Eligible non-consumable purchases can usually be restored using the store account that purchased them. Refund and billing requests are handled by Apple or Google under the store’s policy, except where applicable law requires us to do otherwise.

We may change future offerings and prices. Changes to an existing subscription take effect only as allowed by the store and applicable law, with any required notice or consent.

6. Sharing and Third-Party Services

Holy can let you request imagery from GIPHY or Unsplash and share text or rendered images using Facebook, Instagram, WhatsApp, X/Twitter, email, the system share sheet, or other installed apps. These services are independent from Holy. We do not control their availability, moderation, privacy, licensing, or what recipients do with shared content.

Before sharing, review the content, audience, and destination. Do not share private prayer, health, contact, or other sensitive information unless you accept the risks. Your use of a third-party service is governed by that party’s terms and privacy policy. Links and integrations are provided for convenience and do not imply endorsement.

7. Acceptable Use

You may not use Holy to:

• break a law, infringe rights, harass, threaten, exploit, defraud, impersonate, or harm another person;
• create, store, or share content you do not have the right to use, or content that is unlawful, abusive, hateful, sexually exploitative, or malicious;
• introduce malware, interfere with the App or providers, probe security, automate abusive requests, or bypass purchase, entitlement, rate, or access controls;
• misrepresent Holy content as professional advice or use the App where failure could cause death, personal injury, or serious property or environmental harm; or
• remove notices, scrape or commercially exploit the App or its content, or use our branding without written permission, except as allowed by law or an applicable content license.

8. Intellectual Property and Scripture Sources

The App’s software, design, Holy name and branding, app-authored affirmations and reflections, original artwork, compilation, and other original materials are owned by Believe PR or licensed to us and are protected by applicable law. All rights not expressly granted are reserved.

Bible text is not claimed as our original work. Holy uses scripture translations that are public domain or made available under separate licenses. Translation names, text, copyrights, attribution requirements, and other notices belong to their respective sources and licensors. Current notices are available in the App under About > Scripture sources. A source’s license governs that scripture text. Third-party images, GIFs, platform marks, and shared content likewise remain subject to their owners’ rights and terms.

Feedback you voluntarily send about Holy may be used without restriction or payment to improve the App, provided we do not publicly identify you without permission.

9. Important Disclaimers

Interpretation of scripture and spiritual practices varies across traditions. Holy does not guarantee a particular spiritual, emotional, health, or life outcome. Reminders can be delayed or missed by device settings, battery optimization, operating-system behavior, time-zone changes, or technical failures. Verify important schedules independently.

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Holy and all content and services are provided “as is” and “as available,” without warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy, uninterrupted availability, non-infringement, or error-free operation. We do not warrant that third-party services, purchases, backups, restores, notifications, translations, or sharing will always work or remain available. Nothing in these Terms excludes a warranty or consumer right that cannot legally be excluded.

10. Limits of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Believe PR, Armando Jimenez, and their affiliates, licensors, and service providers will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, or for lost data, content, profits, goodwill, opportunities, or business interruption arising from Holy, even if advised that such harm was possible.

To the maximum extent permitted by law, our aggregate liability for claims relating to Holy will not exceed the greater of the amount you paid for Holy during the 12 months before the event giving rise to the claim or US $50. These limitations do not apply to liability that cannot legally be limited, including where applicable fraud, willful misconduct, gross negligence, or death or personal injury caused by negligence. Some jurisdictions do not allow certain exclusions, so part of this section may not apply to you.

11. Indemnification

To the extent permitted by law, you agree to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless Believe PR, Armando Jimenez, and their affiliates from third-party claims, losses, liabilities, and reasonable costs arising from your unlawful use of Holy, your User Content, your violation of another person’s rights, or your material breach of these Terms. This obligation does not apply where prohibited by consumer law or to the extent a claim results from our own conduct.

12. Suspension and Termination

You may stop using Holy at any time and cancel subscriptions separately through your app-store account. We may suspend or terminate access to online features or the license if you materially breach these Terms, create security or legal risk, or if we discontinue the App. Where reasonable, we will provide notice and an opportunity to cure.

Termination does not automatically erase exports, backups, or information held by third parties, and it does not cancel an app-store subscription. Sections that by their nature should survive, including ownership, disclaimers, liability limits, indemnification, and dispute provisions, remain effective.

13. Governing Law and Disputes

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Commonwealth of Puerto Rico and applicable United States federal law, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Subject to any mandatory consumer right to bring a claim elsewhere, courts located in Puerto Rico will have exclusive jurisdiction over disputes arising from these Terms or Holy.

Before filing a claim, please email us and describe the issue so both sides can try in good faith to resolve it informally. Nothing in this section limits rights or remedies that cannot be waived under the law where you live.

14. Changes to Holy or These Terms

We may update, add, restrict, or discontinue features and may update these Terms to reflect changes to Holy, providers, or law. We will post the new Terms here with a revised effective date and give additional notice when required. If a material change requires consent, we will ask for it. Continuing to use Holy after a valid effective date means you accept the revised Terms; otherwise, stop using the App.
