Terms of Use

Last updated: September 12, 2026 Effective: September 12, 2026

1. Agreement

These Terms of Use are an agreement between you and Believe PR, owned by Armando Jimenez ("we", "us"), about the Better Tomorrow app. By downloading or using the app, you agree to them. If you don't agree, please don't use the app.

Our Privacy Policy explains how we handle personal information. The terms of the App Store or Google Play also apply to how you get the app and buy subscriptions.

2. Who can use Better Tomorrow

You must be at least 13 years old, or older if your country requires it, to use the app. If you are under 18, you need a parent's or guardian's permission.

3. What Better Tomorrow is, and isn't

Better Tomorrow is a mood tracker and journal for self-reflection. It helps you notice patterns in how you feel.

Better Tomorrow is not a medical device and does not provide therapy, diagnosis, treatment, or crisis support. Nothing in the app is medical advice. If you are in danger or thinking about hurting yourself, contact your local emergency number or find a helpline at findahelpline.com.

4. AI-generated content

Weekly insights and affirmations are written by third-party AI models from the data you choose to send. They can be inaccurate, incomplete, or not right for you. Read them as reflections, not as facts or professional advice, and use your own judgment.

To keep the service fair and available, AI features have usage limits, may be unavailable at times, and may use different model providers over time. If a request contains words suggesting you may be in danger, the app doesn't send it and shows support resources instead.

5. Your content

Your entries, notes, photos, and voice memos belong to you. They are stored on your device, so you are responsible for keeping backups. When you use an AI feature, you allow us and our providers to process the data in that request only to create your reply.

Please don't add other people's private information to a request unless you have the right to share it.

6. Your license to use the app

We give you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use the app on devices you own or control, for your own non-commercial use. You agree not to:

  • copy, modify, or redistribute the app, or reverse engineer it except where the law allows
  • get around Better Tomorrow Plus, ad rewards, usage limits, or security features
  • send automated or excessive requests to the AI features, or try to extract the app's credentials
  • use the app to break the law or to harm others

The app, its design, and its content, other than your own, belong to Believe PR and its licensors.

7. Better Tomorrow Plus

Better Tomorrow Plus is an optional auto-renewing subscription, billed monthly or yearly through your Apple Account or Google Play account.

  • The price, in your local currency, is shown in the app before you buy.
  • Your subscription renews automatically unless you cancel at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. Your account is charged for the renewal within 24 hours before the period ends.
  • Some plans include a free trial or an introductory offer. If you don't cancel before it ends, the paid subscription starts and you are charged.
  • Manage or cancel your subscription in your App Store or Google Play account settings. Deleting the app does not cancel it.
  • If you cancel, Plus stays active until the end of the period you paid for.
  • You can restore a purchase on another device that uses the same store account.

Plus features may change over time as the app evolves.

8. Refunds

Payments are handled by Apple or Google, and refunds follow their policies: Apple or Google Play. Nothing in these terms limits refund or withdrawal rights you have by law.

9. Ads in the free version

The free version offers optional rewarded ads from Google AdMob. You receive the reward after the ad finishes. Ads come from third parties, and we don't control or endorse what they advertise.

10. Third-party services

The app relies on services from Apple, Google (Firebase, AdMob, and Google Play), RevenueCat, Cloudflare, OpenRouter and its AI providers, and Unsplash. Their own terms apply to their services. Photos from Unsplash are used under the Unsplash License, and the app credits each photographer.

11. Changes and availability

We may update, change, or stop offering features or the app itself. Some features, such as AI, purchases, ads, and Unsplash photos, need an internet connection. Because your journal lives on your device, we can't recover it if it is lost, so please keep backups.

12. Ending these terms

You can stop using Better Tomorrow at any time by deleting the app. We may suspend access to online features, such as AI, if you break these terms. Sections that by their nature should continue, such as disclaimers and limits of liability, stay in effect.

13. Disclaimers

To the extent the law allows, the app is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, including fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy, or uninterrupted operation.

14. Limitation of liability

To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages, or for loss of data, profits, or goodwill. Our total liability for any claim about the app is limited to the greater of what you paid us for the app in the 12 months before the claim arose, or USD 50.

Nothing in these terms excludes liability that cannot be excluded by law, such as liability for fraud or, where applicable, for death or personal injury caused by negligence.

15. Responsibility for misuse

To the extent the law allows, you are responsible for claims made by others that result from your breaking these terms or the law while using the app.

16. App Store terms

If you got the app from the App Store:

  • These terms are between you and us, not Apple. Apple is not responsible for the app or its content.
  • Apple has no obligation to provide maintenance or support for the app.
  • If the app fails to meet an applicable warranty, you may notify Apple for a refund of its purchase price, if any. Apple has no other warranty obligation for the app.
  • Apple is not responsible for addressing claims about the app, including product liability, legal or regulatory compliance, or consumer protection claims.
  • Apple is not responsible for investigating or settling claims that the app infringes someone's intellectual property.
  • You confirm that you are not in a country subject to a U.S. government embargo and are not on a U.S. government list of restricted parties.
  • Apple and its subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of these terms and may enforce them against you.

17. Governing law and disputes

These terms are governed by the laws of Puerto Rico, and disputes go to the courts of Puerto Rico. If you are a consumer, you keep the protections of the law where you live and may bring a claim in your local courts.

Before starting a legal claim, please contact us so we can try to resolve the issue informally within 30 days.

18. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms. The date at the top shows the latest version, and we mention significant changes in the app's release notes. If you keep using the app after a change, the new terms apply.
